The Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail follows 19.7 miles of the former the Northern Central Railway (NCR) in northern Baltimore County – from Ashland, Maryland north to the Maryland-Pennsylvania line, passing through historic communities including Ashland, Phoenix, Monkton, White Hall, Bentley Springs and Freeland. Hikers, joggers, bicyclists, horseback riders and pets on leashes are welcome. It is a packed gravel trail. We will be departing from the Freeland location at 21198 Railroad Ave, Freeland, MD  21053(This is the closest approximate address for you GPS). Follow Freeland Road from York Rd and the parking lot will be on your right. This will be a 2 hour out and back walk-trot ride. Bring your lunch and a chair if you would like to stay afterwards.
