Trail Work Day

The new Pepco trail that connects Muddy Branch, SRT and Schaeffer is just about done.  We need to fix up a section of the Seneca Greenway trail just south of Riffle Ford Road, to make it suitable to be opened to bikes (right now it is hiker only), and make a new connection of about 1500 feet.  This trail section will be how you get from the Pepco Trail across Seneca Creek, by using the road bridge on Riffle Ford Road.  We will be corridor clearing new trail, a little of which needs benchcutting. Parts will also need mowing but we will probably do that another day

 

Meet at the parking lot at Riffle Ford Road and Seneca Creek

This Saturday May 12 9am-1pm

Bring water, gloves and snack, we will provide tools. Wear boots or sturdy shoes.

 

If you are a crew leader or have trail experience and you know you are coming, please let me know in advance, I would like to brief you on what we are doing.
