Gunpowder Falls State Park – Sweet Air

Gunpowder Falls State Park – Sweet Air

Trail Description: With 1,250 acres, the Sweet Air Area is one of Gunpowder’s largest enclaves. Straddling the Little Gunpowder Falls, which makes up the border between Harford and Baltimore Counties, this area includes 18-miles of trails.  Horse Trailer Parking is on Dalton Brevard Rd off of Moores Rd.  When you turn on Dalton Brevard Rd you will see a sign for Horse trailer parking on the right. There will also be a sign to let you know if the trails are too wet for horseback riding that day (wait 24 hours after a significant rainfall).  It is best to pull in and turn around parking along the edge of the lot on the grass facing out for an easy exit.  There is room for many trailers.  All trails are open to horseback riders except the Cody Jean and Red Dot Trails.  There are a couple of picnic tables at the parking lot area. There is no access to water or a muck bucket so bring your own supplies please.
