Located in Montgomery County just a few miles from Interstate 270, Little Bennett Regional Park is spread over 3,700 acres. The park offers beautiful scenery, historic sites, and over 25 miles of natural surface trails (typically 2-4 feet wide, dirt trails). Natural surface trails are shared by all (hikers, bikers, and equestrians). The ride will be about two hours and will include walking and some trotting as we explore the new Sidewinder trail which winds around, and up and down through a forest. There are a couple of places for a short canter for those interested. We will cross four bridges. We will meet in the trailer parking area at the end of Prescott Road. There is a large grass field that has plenty of parking for horse trailers.
Bring your own lunch to enjoy as the group relaxes after the ride. Do bring water for your horses as it is not available. There is a port-a-potty. The ride hosts will provide dessert and cold water.
The ready to ride time is 10:00 AM, and we expect to ride until noon. Please bring a copy of the Coggins for your horse. All riders must have helmets.
*Rain Date: Sunday, 20 September 2020*
